Many Ways to Look Forward to Life at Riverstone

May 7, 2017

Madera, CA - Creating a one-of-a-kind new-home community that offers many different ways to enjoy life has always been part of the vision for Riverstone, the new 2,000-acre master-planned community now under construction in Madera County. Presenting the multi-dimensionality is Riverstone’s planned residential districts—eight in all—with each district offering its own sense of place and character, and its own collection of homes and amenities.

The expansive exterior grounds of The Lodge at Riverstone will feature a resort-style pool and a children’s pool—both ideal for refreshing summertime fun. Residents can also gather at the outdoor bar with firepits, or lounge in style within comfortable poolside cabanas.
Riverstone’s first collections of new homes are under construction in the community’s inaugural neighborhood—the Lodge District. A family park takes shape just beyond the homes, the neighborhood’s first of five planned parks. The Lodge at Riverstone (back right), is the first of many resort-style clubhouses planned for the community.

“From day one, our dream has always been to introduce an original community that is more creative, exciting and fun than your typical suburban planned development,” said Riverstone’s Tim Jones. “And to see all the upcoming family-oriented amenities we’re planning for our future districts, we think every homebuyer would agree that we’re definitely delivering on that dream.”

Riverstone’s first district, known as The Lodge District, is a family-friendly neighborhood currently under construction. Wide sidewalks along tree-lined streets will lead to five community parks as well as a dog park, plus hiking and biking trails, an anticipated elementary school and Riverstone’s inaugural collection of new residences from McCaffrey Homes, Lennar Homes and D.R. Horton.

At the heart of the district within easy walking distance from every home is The Lodge, the first of many community clubhouses that will be built all throughout Riverstone. Opening soon, The Lodge will be a resort-style clubhouse that showcases a contemporary, agrarian-influenced architectural vernacular inspired by the magnificence of the West’s National Park lodges of yesteryear.

Within The Lodge’s expansive interior spaces, residents are free to enjoy an array of exceptional amenities including a Great Room and flexible gathering places with WiFi, and a state-of-the-art Fitness Center with advanced exercise equipment. Just outside, The Lodge will feature a resort-style pool and spa with poolside cabanas, a children’s pool, an outdoor bar with firepit conversation areas, a demonstration kitchen and a community garden. In addition, a Concierge will be stationed in The Lodge to plan community-wide events and smaller gatherings.

The future Market District will be the gateway to Riverstone. Fully entitled for commercial development, the 51-acre district is a part of 96 total acres at the intersection of Highway 41 and Avenue 12 and is anticipated to offer in its initial phase a grocery store, office space and retail businesses. Future phases are expected to bring more shopping, dining and entertainment—and all with an engaging social vitality.

As the urban side of Riverstone, the future Civic District is designed for those who desire day-to-night energy and metropolitan cool. The district is planned to include 40 acres of commercial and retail amenities, a series of parks, a community clubhouse and approximately 771 homes in a range of styles.

The Town Center, the smallest future district of Riverstone, is expected to offer an abundance of charm, style and easygoing connectivity. Parks, commercial space and a wide variety of approximately 575 homes are planned, all connected by a Main Street thoroughfare and mixed-use central plaza.

Rising from former orange groves, the future Grove District is envisioned to feature a number of parks, approximately 1,449 new homes, a community clubhouse as well as a future school conveniently situated in the district’s heart.

The future Park District is planned to offer beautiful neighborhoods of approximately 1,698 new homes within walking distance of rambling parks, a Civic Center, another community clubhouse and a brand-new elementary school.

Anticipated as Riverstone’s most exclusive neighborhood, the future Club District will offer the joys of a luxurious life in the country. A sprawling, indoor-outdoor community clubhouse and new elementary school are planned for the heart of the district, all surrounded by roughly 1,223 new homes and inviting pocket parks that beckon discovery.

The future River District, six miles from Riverstone, is envisioned to comprise a beautiful stretch of the San Joaquin River and an adjacent lake. Open space and recreational amenities are planned, designed to give future residents the opportunity for family fun amidst the wonders of nature.

Situated in the heart of the region’s path of growth, Riverstone—when complete—will total approximately 6,578 single-family, attached and multi-family homes, as well as commercial and mixed-use space including office, service and retail. Amenities at Riverstone are anticipated to include walkable neighborhoods, parks and open space, multiple community clubhouses, hiking and biking trails, a dog park, a community farm, historic olive and citrus groves, a sustainable water supply, and on-site schools belonging to the award-winning Golden Valley Unified School District.
