Recreation Gets Creative with The Lodge at Riverstone

November 19, 2016

Madera, CA - The upcoming 2,000-acre new-home community of Riverstone will be a different kind of place. Case in point is its amenity-rich, resort-style community clubhouse known simply as The Lodge—a truly one-of-a-kind amenity that’s currently under construction.

The expansive exterior grounds of The Lodge at Riverstone will feature a resort-style pool and a children’s pool as well as an array of amenities including comfortable gathering places and an outdoor bar with firepits.
The Lodge at Riverstone is a resort-style community clubhouse unlike any other. Planned amenities include a Great Room and gathering places with WiFi, state-of-the-art Fitness Center, two swimming pools and spa with poolside cabanas, outdoor bar with firepits, demonstration kitchen, community garden, outfitter’s cabin and an on-site Concierge.

As the first of multiple community clubhouses to be built at Riverstone, The Lodge is shaping up to be a creative, family-oriented venue in a class all by itself.

“Construction on The Lodge is proceeding nicely,” said Riverstone’s Tim Jones. “It won’t be very long before our first homeowner families are enjoying this brand-new amenity for the very first time. And since our community design emphasizes the concept of easy walkability, I’m happy to report that The Lodge is a short stroll away from most of the new homes now taking shape within our family-centric Lodge District.”

“The Lodge is simply an amenity like no other, one that expresses an architectural vernacular we call ‘deconstructed agrarian industrialism’,” said architect Todd Larner of William Hezmalhalch Architects, Riverstone’s land-planning and architectural firm.

“Much like the magnificence of the West’s National Park lodges of yesteryear, the building will feature open, exposed beams, grand windows for inspired views, and authentic building materials that are permanent and lasting. Although The Lodge is brand-new, it will feel as though it’s been here forever—much like a timeless, historic mountain lodge that’s been converted exclusively for the enjoyment of Riverstone residents.”

Within The Lodge’s expansive interior spaces, residents are free to enjoy an array of exceptional amenities including a Great Room and flexible gathering places with WiFi, and a state-of-the-art Fitness Center with advanced exercise equipment.

Just outside, The Lodge will feature a resort-style pool and spa with poolside cabanas, a children’s pool, an outdoor bar with firepit conversation areas, a demonstration kitchen and a community garden. In addition, a Concierge will be stationed in The Lodge to plan community-wide events and smaller gatherings as well as assist homeowners with nearly any need that arises.

“The Lodge will be a comfortable destination where residents will just love to spend time,” continued Larner. “It’s that place where you might catch the game on a big screen, play a game of foosball, or simply relax and unplug. That’s the whole idea behind The Lodge. It’s this kind of resort-like setting that’s always fun and comfortable. And since it’s right in your own backyard, it becomes another go-to place, a place familiar enough to call your second living room.”

Serving as a basecamp for family recreation in the great outdoors will be The Lodge’s Gear Barn, an outfitter’s cabin featuring a variety of gear that will be available for homeowners’ on- and off-site adventures—everything from kayaking, camping and mountain biking to fishing, hiking and snow skiing in the Sierra Nevada.

Situated in the heart of the region’s path of growth, the master-planned community of Riverstone—when complete—will total approximately 6,578 single-family, attached and multi-family homes, as well as commercial and mixed-use space including office, service and retail. Amenities at Riverstone are anticipated to include walkable neighborhoods, parks and open space, multiple resort-style community clubhouses, hiking and biking trails, a dog park, a community farm, historic olive and citrus groves, on-site schools, a sustainable water supply and a nearby stretch of the San Joaquin River and adjacent lake.

Riverstone’s inaugural collection of new homes from local, award-winning homebuilder, McCaffrey Homes, is currently under construction, with model homes anticipated to open late 2016. McCaffrey is currently offering pre-sales on its Santerra collection of new homes, giving homebuyers the chance to take advantage of attractive ground floor pricing as well as an excellent selection of homesites. For more information on McCaffrey Homes’ Santerra and its pre-sales opportunity, call Liberty Square Welcome Center at (559) 276-7533.

Lennar Homes, one of the nation’s leading and most respected homebuilders, is the second homebuilder at Riverstone, with a new collection of homes currently under construction.
