Wide Array of Distinctive Homes Coming to Riverstone Master-Planned Community

March 20, 2016

Madera, CA - The American Dream will be available in all shapes and sizes at Riverstone, the new 2,000-acre master-planned community coming to southeast Madera County. The community’s first collections of new homes are currently underway within Riverstone’s inaugural residential neighborhood, known as the Lodge District. The homes are anticipated to be ready for occupancy Fall 2016. Interested homebuyers are encouraged to add their name to the Interest List at www.RiverstoneCA.com.

Just a short walk or bike ride away from Riverstone’s first collections of new homes, Adventure Park is anticipated to offer play structures, climbing boulders, three different slides, a small amphitheater, and grassy areas for all kinds of kid-sized fun.
The Lodge at Riverstone is anything but the typical community clubhouse. Showcasing architecture that combines the rusticity of farm with the magnificence of the west’s National Park lodges, the venue is expected to offer a fitness center, pool, spa, cabanas and more.

Tied to the land’s heritage and alive with its agrarian spirit, Riverstone will be a celebration of California living where people of every generation can enjoy the relaxed and informal spirit of the Golden State. With an envisioned array of residences ideal for today’s varying generational lifestyles, the community will offer homes for every taste and every budget. From Millennials searching for their first home, to growing families needing more space, to Baby Boomers looking to downsize, Riverstone will have a home for everyone.

Future residential phases of Riverstone are planned to feature a California Contemporary style, a forward-looking architecture that embraces local heritage, respects the natural setting and delivers the modern-day innovation expected by today’s homebuyers. Naturally, the designs will blur the line between indoors and out, enabling families to enjoy al fresco gatherings and celebrations year-round. “Nobody wants to feel cocooned inside a home, especially in this wonderful outdoor environment we have here in the Valley,” said Todd Larner of William Hezmalhalch Architects, Riverstone’s land-planning and architectural firm. “We envision homes with outdoor settings that will be the ideal venue for informal get-togethers and family celebrations of just about every kind.”

Situated in the heart of the region’s path of growth, Riverstone—when complete—will total approximately 6,578 single-family, attached and multi-family homes, as well as commercial and mixed-use space including office, service and retail. Amenities at Riverstone are anticipated to include walkable neighborhoods with 200 acres of public and private parks and open space reserves, an extensive trail network, on-site schools, and a nearby stretch of the San Joaquin River and adjacent lake.

In addition to the comforts of home, Riverstone will be the kind of community that presents families with many reasons to head outside to play. Five neighborhood parks are planned for various locations throughout the Lodge District, and all will only be a short walk or bike ride away from the district’s first collection of homes. An active play area with spaces designed for two to five, and five to 12-year-olds, Adventure Park will offer play structures, climbing boulders and the fun of three different slides—all with a soft, spongy ground to safely cushion youngsters’ falls. The park is also anticipated to include a small amphitheater, an ideal spot to enjoy an outdoor play or musical performance, or where moms and dads can simply relax while keeping an eye on their children at play.

Another new park coming to the Lodge District is Garden Park, with planned barbecue areas, shade structures, a large communal table ideal for outdoor dining, and a cutting garden where residents will be able to snip a variety of fresh flowers and take them home to enliven their interior spaces. The park will also feature a series of exercise stations, providing a convenient way for residents to tone muscles and stay fit.

Anchored right in the heart of the Lodge District will be “The Lodge” itself, a community clubhouse in a class all its own. A contemporary, agrarian-influenced structure, The Lodge at Riverstone will combine the rusticity of farm with the magnificence of the West’s National Park lodges of yesteryear—revealing elements such as open exposed beams, grand windows for inspired views, and authentic building materials that are permanent and lasting. The grand venue is anticipated to offer a state-of-the-art fitness center, flexible spaces for gatherings and events, a Gear Barn providing recreational equipment, and an outdoor terrace with a sparkling pool, spa, cabanas and a refreshments bar.

Since dogs are so important to today’s families, the dog park at Riverstone is envisioned to include every canine-loving amenity imaginable—from an abundance of trees and dog fountains to open-space areas ideal for running, frolicking and Frisbee catching. The dog park will feature separate areas for small dogs and big dogs, both with their own separate, gated entry. The separation will help ensure that both the dogs and their owners are able to enjoy a better, safer park-going experience.

Hiking and biking trails are planned to link all of Riverstone’s residential districts together. The first trail completed will intersect existing agricultural lands, leading to an overlook affording picturesque orchard vistas.
