Riverstone Community on Track for Model Homes Opening This November

June 19, 2016

Madera, CA - Excitement and anticipation ran high at the June 2nd groundbreaking event for The Lodge at Riverstone, as 200 people gathered for the official kick-off of the Madera County community’s new resort-style clubhouse. But for those in attendance, it was evident that The Lodge is merely one of the many Riverstone projects currently underway.

New-home construction has begun in Riverstone’s Lodge District with Santerra and Ivy, two distinctive collections of new homes from local, award-winning homebuilder McCaffrey Homes.
Reflecting American Traditional classic architecture, the Ivy Collection from McCaffrey Homes will feature flexible living areas, top-of-the line amenities and many energy-efficient innovations. Image is an artist’s conception.

In the Lodge District, the family-oriented neighborhood where The Lodge is situated, construction is in full swing on Riverstone’s first collection of new residences from local, award-winning McCaffrey Homes. Two distinctive McCaffrey collections will feature new homes designed specifically for Riverstone—Santerra, a new collection of homes that exemplifies the California spirit with indoor-outdoor living, up to five bedrooms, and rooms awaiting your next big idea. Offering up to six bedrooms, Ivy at Riverstone will feature spacious homes on large lots that reflect an upscale Ivy League feel with American Traditional classic architecture.

In the very near term at Riverstone, construction is expected to begin on a second residential offering—a collection of new homes from Lennar, one of the nation’s leading homebuilders. The offering will feature Lennar’s popular Cambridge Collection of Everything’s Included® homes, delivering custom quality features as standard.

The model homes from McCaffrey are anticipated to open late 2016. Interested homebuyers for both McCaffrey Homes and Lennar are encouraged to add their name to the Interest List at www.RiverstoneCA.com.

“We’re making exciting progress here at Riverstone,” said developer and Fresno native Tim Jones. “We’re right on track to achieve our overarching goal of creating a truly original place that goes far beyond a typical suburban planned community.”

Those in attendance at the recent Lodge groundbreaking—which included friends and families, key members of the Central Valley’s development community and officials from Fresno and Madera County—were among the first to see the details of The Lodge, Riverstone’s new resort-style community clubhouse that feels like a timeless, historic mountain lodge.

As the first of multiple community clubhouses that will be built at Riverstone, The Lodge is a contemporary, agrarian-influenced structure that combines the rusticity of farm with the magnificence of the West’s National Park lodges of yesteryear. Within The Lodge’s expansive interior spaces—designed by award-winning, California-based Chameleon Design—residents are free to enjoy an array of amenities that is expected to include a state-of-the-art fitness center, flexible spaces for gatherings and events, and an outdoor terrace with a sparkling pool, spa, cabanas and a refreshments bar.

The Lodge also includes a Gear Barn, serving as a basecamp for outdoor pursuits. Its rental program including a variety of gear will be available to homeowners for on- and off-site adventures—everything from kayaking, camping and mountain biking to fishing, hiking and Sierra Nevada snow skiing.

Attendees also caught a glimpse of Riverstone’s signature entry tower, which is already standing at the main entrance of the community. A one-of-a-kind tribute to the farming heritage of both the community and the Valley, the tower—like a big “welcome mat”—is currently inviting all passersby into Riverstone at the intersection of Business 41 and Avenue 12.

Two lane-widening projects are underway near Riverstone to add lanes to both Highway 41 and Avenue 12, improvements that are designed to reduce traffic congestion in the area and improve access into the community. In addition, the newly paved main roads running through Riverstone have been completed, right down to the stylish, ornamental LED lampposts that adorn the medians.

Situated in the heart of the region’s path of growth, Riverstone—when complete—will total approximately 6,578 single-family, attached and multi-family homes, as well as commercial and mixed-use space including office, service and retail. Amenities at Riverstone are anticipated to include walkable neighborhoods with 200 acres of public and private parks and open space reserves, an extensive trail network, on-site schools, and a nearby stretch of the San Joaquin River and adjacent lake.
